The Drip
Roy Romer Middle School
A DIY irrigation system to reuse leftover classroom water.
The Drip is a DIY, gravity-fed, drip irrigation system that aims to reduce water waste and generate awareness about how saving even a little water can have a large effect. The project established a water reclamation site for students to deposit unused water instead of throwing it away in the trash. This water is then used by The Drip to more efficiently water plants on campus. The team hopes to expand The Drip into other classrooms, encouraging other teachers and students to use the system to save water and help their campus become more eco-friendly and beautiful in the process.
